The United States Mint will unveil new reverse (tails) designs for bullion and collectible versions of American Eagle Gold and Silver Coins. The new designs (Type 2 Reverse) will begin appearing on these coins in midyear 2021.<br>This listing is for the Type 1 Reverse which remains unchanged from prior years.<br>American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins<br>American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins unlike their proof counterparts, are not sold directly to the general public, but to a series of authorized buyers. These buyers obtain the uncirculated bullion coins from the Mint based on the current spot price of the metal plus a small premium.
